Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 8, 2026
This policy explains what data JPGPNG ("we", "the Service", available at jpgpng.net) processes when you use it, and why. The short version: your images never leave your device, we don't ask for any personal information, and the only cookies come from advertising described below.
1. Your images
All image conversion happens inside your web browser, on your own device.
- Images you add are read from your device into your browser's memory, converted there, and offered back to you as a download.
- Images are never uploaded to our servers or to any third party, and we have no technical way to see them.
- Converted files exist only in your browser's memory until you close or reload the page, or click Clear.
- Metadata inside your JPG (such as camera model, date or GPS location) is not copied into the PNG.
You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, select the Network tab, and convert a file. No image data is transmitted.
2. Information we do not collect
The Service has no accounts, sign-up forms or file uploads. We do not ask for, and do not store, your name, email address or any other directly identifying information, unless you choose to email us (see section 7).
3. Advertising (Google AdSense)
The Service is free and funded by advertising provided by Google AdSense, a service of Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
- For more on how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before advertising cookies are used, through a Google-certified consent management platform. You can refuse consent; you will then see non-personalised or limited ads. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the privacy settings link shown on the site.
Your images are not involved. Advertising code runs separately from the converter and has no access to the files you convert. No image or information about your images is shared with any advertising provider.
Ads are only shown on the converter and guide pages, not on this policy, the terms, or the contact page.
4. Analytics
We do not currently use any analytics or tracking tools beyond what our advertising partner described above sets. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy before doing so.
5. Cookies and local storage
The converter itself does not set cookies. The table below lists who may set cookies or similar technologies on this site:
| Provider | Purpose | Consent required in EEA/UK |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdSense | Serving and measuring ads, frequency capping, fraud prevention, storing your consent choice | Yes (except strictly necessary consent storage) |
| JPGPNG | None | n/a |
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The converter works fully with cookies blocked.
6. Server and hosting logs
Like nearly every website, our hosting and content-delivery provider automatically records technical request logs (such as IP address, time, requested page, browser user agent and referring page) to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. These logs never contain your images. They are kept for a limited period by the provider and are not used to identify individual visitors.
7. Emailing us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to reply and to fix the issue you report. We delete support emails when they are no longer needed, and never share them or add you to a mailing list.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests concern our advertising partner; you can manage those through the consent settings and opt-out links above. For anything else, email [email protected].
We do not sell personal information.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how the Service handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
